Welty Environmental Center Programs

Welty Environmental Center Programs include Summer Camp, Welty Weeknight Paddles, Sky’s the Limit Camp, and a Farm to Table Harvest Dinner. Welty Weeknight Paddles and Sky’s the Limit Camp are scheduled on specific dates and times in 2026 and are listed as free programs.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Welty Weeknight Paddles 2026 meet on select evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, and Sky’s the Limit Camp 2026 meets on select afternoons from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
• Price: Welty Weeknight Paddles 2026: FREE. Sky’s the Limit Camp 2026: FREE.

The Welty Environmental Center offers year-round programs for all ages that include hands-on encounters with biological, physical, and chemical elements of nature. Its programs encourage participants to relate concepts from the natural sciences and humanities to environmental, ecological, and related social concerns, and they stimulate interest in local, regional, and global environmental issues. Welty does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, familial status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected status in the administration of its programs, services, activities, or employment practices. The organization maintains low program fees so more people can visit for nature fun and learning. The Leadership Development Academy of Rock County is raising money to revitalize the Welty Environmental Center’s West Wing program room, and Welty is described as an essential Stateline education resource.
