Fusion Athletics Green Bay began in February 2010 as Green Bay Fusion All Star Cheerleading and later rebranded as Fusion Athletics Green Bay as its programs expanded. It was founded by Melissa Brauer, a former gymnast and cheerleader. The program’s history includes starting by renting floor space in a local gymnastics center, moving to a small warehouse in Ashwaubenon where the All Star Cheer program doubled in size and the Ninja program and birthday parties began, and then relocating to its current home, which allowed for expanded programming.
Fusion Athletics Green Bay states that it set out to build more than just a cheer gym, with a focus on athletes as whole individuals, character as well as skill, community, and not believing in winning at all costs. The program describes itself as a community built on trust, growth, and heart, dedicated to developing confident, capable athletes inside and outside the gym, and uses phrases such as “Champions in Training,” “Play Hard • Grow Strong • Have Fun,” “Classes & Events For All Families In Green Bay,” “Classes for Every Age & Ability,” and “Train your way. Grow your way.” It also notes that it offers flexible class options to fit different family schedules without sacrificing quality or consistency, and that it provides a variety of classes and events through youth sports and team building programs like ninja, cheerleading, and tumbling.
Parent testimonials describe children enjoying birthday parties, summer camps, ninja classes, cheer, tumbling, preschool options, and the Ninja Warrior program. Parents mention staff who are described as amazing, polite, fun, engaging, friendly, and helpful, and describe experiences such as having the entire facility for a birthday party, staff building obstacles and games, and staff recording gifts and givers during parties. Several parents report long-term involvement of 3–4+ years, refer to Fusion Athletics as more than a gym or like a family, and mention areas such as confidence, independence, team bonding, self-confidence, time management, discipline, respect, communication, teamwork, and handling failure. Multiple testimonials state that they would highly recommend Fusion Athletics Green Bay.
