About
Bay-Lakes Council Scouting Programs offers a range of Scouting experiences organized into five programs: Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, and Exploring. The Scouting experience is divided by age and activities into Cub Scouting for youth in grade levels K–5th, Scouts BSA for youth ages 11–17, Venturing for coed youth ages 14–20, Sea Scouts for coed youth ages 14–20, and Exploring for coed youth ages 10–20. The council operates multiple camps that host over 5,000 campers during the summer months and additional campers in the fall, winter, and spring.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Council Service Center open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; National Scout Shop and Bay-Lakes Scout Shop open Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, with a midday weekday lunch closure.
The Bay-Lakes Council provides programs and services to over 5,400 youth in 22 counties in Eastern Wisconsin and is supported by over 3,000 adult volunteers. The council includes 123 Cub Scout Packs, 163 Scouts BSA Troops, 16 Venture Crews, and 5 Explorer Posts. The mission of the Bay-Lakes Council is to provide children with a safe space where they can explore their craving for excitement. The mission of the camps is to engage guests by delivering quality, innovative, and “Life on the Edge” experiences that support the mission of the Bay-Lakes Council.
