Black Belt America has over three decades of success, including 35+ years of excellence and 30 years of hard work and dedication to their students, and reports 10,000 transformed students. The leadership team includes owners Don Wideman and Theresa Wideman and Chief Instructor Jessica Wideman, along with a Program Director who meets with new students at a free trial Discovery Lesson. The program states that its mission is to provide high-quality martial arts training that fosters personal growth, physical fitness, and mental discipline. The school reports 200+ 5 Star Reviews, describes its classes as award-winning and nationally recognized, and describes itself as the number-one-rated martial arts school in Wisconsin. Families are asked to have students bring comfortable clothes to move in and a water bottle for the first class, and the program offers a 10% discount for any add-on members to any programs, along with a variety of payment options including monthly memberships, semester-based payments, and discounts for long-term commitments.
One parent, Christopher Messer, describes his 8-year-old daughter as loving Madison's B.E.S.T. After School & Summer Camp and mentions positive and fun lessons, dedicated and excited students, and “lots of high 5s, lots of encouragement.” Another parent, Allie King, reports that her daughter gained confidence in the Little Champions class and that staff did what she calls a “PHENOMENAL” job hosting a 7th birthday party. A third parent, Amanda Beci, calls the after school program “amazing” and notes that her child enjoys going, likes the staff, and is learning what she lists as leadership, focus, determination, respect, and other life skills, and she thanks specific staff and helpers by name.
