Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department Youth Programs

Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department Youth Programs are part of the broader offerings of the Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department, which provides a wide variety of programs and classes for all ages. Sportsmanship is at the forefront of the youth sports programs, and the department has a Code of Conduct for players, coaches, and spectators. The department strongly believes that all citizens should have the opportunity to participate in recreation programs regardless of financial status, and program registration fees are set annually by the M-T Recreation Department.

The Mequon-Thiensville School District oversees the community's recreation department. The role of the M-T Recreation Department is to create a closer partnership between school and community through greater use of school facilities and resources. The Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department provides a Financial Assistance Application and uses background screens for volunteers facilitated by an online provider. The department invites people with a passion for an activity, fitness, or a craft or hobby to share that with others, youth or adults, and notes that volunteers in school and recreation programs provide supplemental support to teachers and students and additional human resources to enrich the educational experience.
