About
Kids Connection Childcare Center offers activities that include Cadence KickStart Soccer, Cultural Understanding, Baby Signs, Literacy, Mathematics, and Technology. Cadence KickStart Soccer is led by teachers the children already know and is integrated into the school day. Children spend a good deal of time exploring various interest centers in their classrooms, and teachers individualize activities and use small group instruction as part of the Ascend Curriculum.

Kids Connection Childcare Center has been providing early childhood education and care to families since 2000. The program follows the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards and uses the Ascend Curriculum to develop academic, physical, emotional, and creative skills, including activities in Cultural Understanding, Baby Signs, Literacy, Mathematics, and Technology. Programs are designed to help children learn at their own pace, with group activities planned around the developmental needs of each age group and a nurturing, socially stimulating environment according to each child’s age and individuality. The mission states that a positive early childhood experience is viewed as crucial to a child’s development, and that childhood is seen as the beginning of many life adventures.
The leadership team includes School Director Sarah Egvedt, Administrative Assistant Kaitlyn Williamson, and Teacher of the Year Mrs. Darnell. Sarah Egvedt graduated with Honors in Early Childhood Education from Waukesha Area Technical College and has worked in the field since 2017. Kaitlyn Williamson holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UW-Whitewater. Mrs. Darnell has a degree in Early Childhood and has worked with children for over 30 years, and she is designated as Teacher of the Year.
In addition to typical daycare and preschool programs, Kids Connection offers care for school-age children at Clarendon, Eagleville, Rolling Hills, and Section Elementary. The program has an overall rating of 4.8 based on 21 reviews.
