Phantom Ranch Bible Camp

Phantom Ranch Bible Camp offers a year-round camping and retreat experience with modern facilities that include comfortable meeting spaces, sports fields, recreational activities, high-quality meeting rooms, comfortable lodging, and dining with meals. The program includes outdoor education programs and a High School Mission Team program that focuses on camp ministry, spiritual disciplines, discipleship, and leadership skills. Phantom Ranch Bible Camp also offers an Adventure Trip Program for off-site needs through spring, summer, and fall.

Phantom Ranch Bible Camp has been helping people draw closer to God through camping experiences since 1954 and has over 65 years of experience and 70 years of camp history. Its mission is to help people draw closer to God through great camp experiences, with a goal to provide “Excellence in Christian Camping.” The camp’s vision is that every person will find a place near to God, set apart, free from prejudice, and full of hope, service, and opportunity, where all are welcome, loved, and respected. It aims to share the gospel of Christ and teach God’s Word for daily living while enjoying God’s creation.

Phantom Ranch Bible Camp is led by a Board of Directors, with Olen Johnsen serving as Executive Director and Mark Green in Sales and Marketing, and new Directors are approved by the Board of Directors and the Elders of Midwest Bible Church. Outdoor education programs are led by a team of educated professionals and dedicated staff. The property is owned by Phantom Ranch Bible Camp and Midwest Bible Church in Chicago, Illinois.

Phantom Ranch Bible Camp serves church groups, organizations, and outdoor education groups, and hosts groups from Illinois, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin. It offers retreats for youth groups (junior or senior high), men’s or women’s retreats, father-child retreats, schools, co-workers, college-age ministries, singles ministries, church small groups, and Christian organizations, and these retreats are designed to be impactful, meaningful, and rewarding with a focus on spiritual growth, relationships, and creating opportunities for growth and connection. The camp hosts over 1,000 campers each summer and over 110 guest groups each year, with several weeks in the summer and winter set aside for special programming for grades 3 through 12, and facilities available year-round for group rentals. Phantom Ranch Bible Camp is set apart for God’s glory, committed to excellence, and focused on relationships.
