Road America Kart Racing School Powered by Franklin Motorsports

Road America Kart Racing School Powered by Franklin Motorsports offers kart racing sessions that include a track walk, coaching overview, and instruction in safe practices. Participants work on competitive driving lines, braking exercises, and skill exercises to become familiar with the equipment and their personal limits. The program also includes on-track sessions with lead follows and post-session analysis, along with a final fitting into each participant’s kart upon arrival.

Karting participants are paired with a Briggs & Stratton powered racing kart prepared by Franklin Motorsports Inc. Group size begins with 7–10 participants, and participants are then split into two groups based on initial performance, with the remainder of the session in a group setting of 4–6 participants. The program provides personalized coaching from experienced staff. Road America hosts over 500 events a year and is referred to as America’s National Park of Speed. Road America has participated in the NASCAR Green Clean Air Program and partners with local groups to expand tree planting efforts into the surrounding community.
