About
Art Classes include hands-on sessions such as the PEEPS® Pandemonium Workshop, Potter’s Wheel, Watercolor Art Workshop, and The Painter’s Studio. These offerings are part of a broader schedule of studio art classes and events that invite kids to work directly with different materials and techniques.
• Ages: 7–13 years old
• Schedule: Single-session workshops and events, generally held on Saturdays or Fridays, with typical class times ranging from 60 to 180 minutes
The PEEPS® Pandemonium Workshop for ages 7–13 is scheduled on Saturday, March 7, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm CST. Potter’s Wheel for ages 8–12 is scheduled on Saturday, March 14, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm CDT. The Watercolor Art Workshop for ages 7–13 is scheduled on Saturday, March 14, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm CDT.
The Racine Art Museum and RAM’s Wustum Museum work together with a mission to serve as a community resource, with spaces for discovery, creation, and connection. RAM maintains a nationally recognized collection of more than 14,000 works, including more than 9,000 works in ceramics, glass, fiber, wood, metal, polymer, and found media. Racine Art Museum is described as “America's Home for Contemporary Craft,” and its exhibitions emphasize the ideas behind artwork, with shows changing two to three times each year and drawn almost exclusively from RAM’s collection.
Winter Art Classes are promoted with the phrase “Get Creative this Winter” and encourage staying “warm and engaged at RAM's Wustum Museum with a studio art class.” RAM and Wustum Museum typically offer 20–25 events throughout the year at both museum campuses and elsewhere in Racine. The leadership team includes roles such as Executive Director, Director of Education and Community Engagement, School and Family Programs Coordinator, and Education Program Facilitators, among others. After five decades of service, Founding Director Emeritus Bruce W. Pepich retired in July 2025.
