Art Classes at RAM’s Wustum Museum include specific sessions such as Life Drawing, The Painter’s Studio, Raku Outdoor, a Master Workshop with Tanya Crane called Repetitive Patterns in Enamel, and Community Sewing Day. Throughout the summer, both children and adults can take part in these art classes at RAM’s Wustum Museum. Visitors can also work on Amanda Browder’s large-scale fabric installation, Zig and Zag, by joining free Community Sewing Days in July to sew, trim, or pin fabric together.
• Schedule: Art classes and Community Sewing Days are offered on specific dates and times, including weekday and Saturday options, with museum buildings open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Racine Art Museum and RAM’s Wustum Museum work together as a community resource with spaces for discovery, creation, and connection. RAM and Wustum Museum typically offer 20–25 events each year at both museum campuses and elsewhere in Racine. RAM maintains a nationally recognized collection of more than 14,000 works, including more than 9,000 works in ceramics, glass, fiber, wood, metal, polymer, and found media such as clothing, furniture, jewelry, artists’ books, baskets, teapots, and goblets. Exhibitions at RAM emphasize the ideas behind artwork, are drawn almost exclusively from this collection, and all shows change two to three times each year. The organization’s leadership includes roles such as Executive Director, Director of Education and Community Engagement, Director of Exhibitions and Collections, and various education, exhibitions, facilities, and guest services staff, and Bruce W. Pepich retired as Founding Director Emeritus after five decades of service in July 2025.
