The organization states a mission “to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.” The Glacial Community YMCA focuses on developing the potential of youth, improving individual health and well-being, and giving back to and supporting communities. In 2017, the Glacial Community Y decided to take its mission international by forming partnerships. It has partnerships with Esperanza Viva, a Christian youth home and orphanage in Puebla, Mexico, and with the YMCA of Valparaiso, Chile, and sends teams to serve and build relationships within these organizations. The Mission to Valparaiso, Chile is described as a cross-culture exchange with service projects focused on underprivileged children, youth, and adults of Valparaiso and of the Jorge Williams School, with the ACJ (YMCA) of Valparaiso providing lodging, most meals, and guiding sightseeing around the city and to Santiago. Heather Burkle is stated as the team leader for the Mission to Valparaiso, Chile YMCA Partnership, and Bruce Osborn is stated as Director of Spiritual Development.
