About
Marathon County 4-H offers youth trips, camps, fairs, shows, conferences, community service efforts, project opportunities, fund-raising efforts, and a summer camp. Most 4-H clubs in this program have meetings for the entire membership once a month. A summer camp is conducted annually for all county residents.

• Schedule: Most 4-H clubs meet once a month, and a summer camp is held annually
4-H is a youth organization that belongs to the members, their families, and other interested adults who serve as volunteer leaders. Youth ages 5–19 have the opportunity to join a 4-H community club. The local 4-H program works with 30 Community Clubs in Marathon County, which meet monthly, along with countywide educational project meetings throughout the year. 4-H facilitates outreach programs with local partner agencies. 4-H is open to all youth and adults regardless of their ethnic background, race, creed, or disability. 4-H’ers everywhere are linked in many ways, including by the 4-H pledge which they all recite. 4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills.
Support for 4-H programs is a joint effort of local county government, the University of Wisconsin-Extension, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension provides equal opportunities in employment and programming in compliance with state and federal law.
