About
First Tee — Southeast Wisconsin offers junior golf programs and golf-based personal growth programs. The program includes creative activities and instructional programs that incorporate the fundamental teachings of golf.
Founded in 2004 as a collaborative effort with the Wisconsin PGA Junior Foundation, the organization was formerly known as the First Tee of Milwaukee County and transitioned in 2015 to First Tee — Southeast Wisconsin. First Tee is a youth development organization that integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum to create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience. The program is designed as a place for participants to learn life skills and character lessons through golf, with a goal of incorporating responsibility, courtesy, honesty, and integrity into the daily lives of those who participate. It equips youth with skills to follow their dreams, advance academically and athletically, strengthen their social abilities, and become productive members of their local community. First Tee — Southeast Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) organization. The organization serves youth throughout Fond du Lac, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha Counties. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities or operations and is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
