About

GRICUA Youth Programs include several organized opportunities for young people, such as the STEAAAM Summer Program for middle schoolers and the Washington Youth Tour for high school juniors. The program also offers High School and College Summer Internships, as well as a Youth Board Internship. GRICUA has installed solar parking canopies that provide shade and clean energy as part of its facilities.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:00PM

GRICUA was formed in 1998. In 2008, the Gila River Indian Community Council approved the 638 Contract for GRICUA to assume responsibility for maintaining and operating the SCIP electric system on the Gila River Indian Community Reservation, and in 2018 all SCIP residential and commercial customers were transferred to GRICUA. GRICUA states that it is committed to providing opportunities and organized activities for the youth in the Gila River Indian Community. GRICUA’s office building was the first in the Community to earn LEED Gold certification.
