About
The School of Ballet Arizona offers children’s ballet training, including the Children’s Program with basic barre and center work. It also offers Creative Movement for Toddlers with props, songs, and games, Core Program levels 1 through 8 for formal classical ballet training, Adult Drop-In Classes at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, Summer Programs, the Studio Company, the Introduction to Ballet Workshop, and the Student Maintenance Workshop.
Programs
- Children’s Program — Ages 4 and up · Introduction to the art of ballet by promoting creativity and expression through movement. Students learn basic barre and center work.
- Core Program (Levels 1 - 4) — Begins formal classical ballet training. Students develop technique progressively with increasing expectations.
- Core Program (Levels 5 - 8) — Upper Division training becomes more complex with increased technical base and vocabulary. Training schedules increase significantly.
- Adult Drop-In Classes — Teens age 14 and up and adults of all ages · Open ballet classes and workshops for adults. Three levels of ballet classes are offered: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
- Creative Movement for Toddlers — Children ages 2-4 · Uses props, songs, and games to increase strength and flexibility, build community, grow creativity, and foster a love for dance.
- Summer Programs — Dancers of all levels · Summer programs designed for dancers to immerse themselves in the artistry and discipline of ballet.
- Studio Company — An elite training opportunity to prepare students to become professional dancers.
- Introduction to Ballet Workshop — Builds a solid foundation in ballet technique to prepare students for regular open adult classes.
- Student Maintenance Workshop — Upper Division students ages 11+ who are already training on pointe · Preparation for the start of the school year with student-geared classes at an intermediate/advanced level.

About the provider
The School of Ballet Arizona was founded in 1986 and is the official training school of Ballet Arizona. Its mission is to ignite the human spirit through the magic of dance.
Classes are $18 each and pre-registration is required. Class times are subject to change. If a class has less than 4 students at the class start time, The School of Ballet Arizona reserves the right to cancel the class. All class credits are non-transferable and non-refundable. Class credits are valid for 180 days after purchase. In the case of medical reasons, The School of Ballet Arizona may extend the expiration date an additional 180 days.
