First Tee – Phoenix offers youth golf programs that include golf, access to golf learning facilities, and instructional programs that incorporate the fundamental teachings of golf. The program also includes creative activities connected to the game of golf. It is designed to serve as a place for participants to learn valuable life skills and character lessons through these activities and instructional programs.

• Price: Each member will fill out an application and pay the $195 yearly fee online.

First Tee – Phoenix states that its goal is to incorporate responsibility, courtesy, honesty, and integrity, which it describes as values inherent in the game of golf, into the daily lives of those who participate. The organization describes itself as a youth development organization that integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum through active learning experiences. First Tee – Phoenix notes that it is closed December 20–28. The program states that it provides affordable access to golf and golf learning facilities for young people in Maricopa County from all walks of life, particularly those who otherwise might not have an opportunity to play. It also states that it equips youth with skills needed to follow their dreams, advance academically and athletically, strengthen their social abilities, and become productive members of their local community. First Tee – Phoenix is privileged to have the active support of The Thunderbirds, which it describes as a group of local community-oriented individuals focused on positively impacting the lives of young people.
