Rio Combat offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for kids and adults, along with Muay Thai for all ages. The program also includes Judo for adults, No-Gi classes for adults, Law Enforcement Jiu Jitsu, and the Lejj 3 Day Course.

Rio Combat has been Alameda's premier martial arts center since 2008. Diogo Gomes founded Rio Combat in 2008 and is the head instructor for all classes and curriculum, often teaching students directly. Diogo Gomes is a 4th degree black belt and became a State champion who qualified for Nationals, Team Nationals, and the first-ever World Championships in 1996. Rio Combat is a renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu dojo and a proud member of the Carlson Gracie Team. Rio Combat's mission includes sharing knowledge and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boosting people's confidence in their skills, and Diogo states that his main focus has always been on the journey and the people whose lives got better.
