About

The Sewing Room Sewing Camps offer sewing camps along with beginner sewing, Intro-to-Sewing, and Machine Basics classes. The program also includes weekday and weekend studio classes, specialty classes such as embroidery, quilting, hat making, and pattern grading, as well as private lessons, a Fashion Studies program, Open Sew Time, and PDF pattern printing. Supplies available for these activities include fabric, patterns, thread, sewing needles, seam rippers, scissors, zippers, pins, buttons, and purse hardware.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and studio options are available on weekdays and weekends, and the Machine Basics Class is 1½ hours long.
• Price: The use of machines and tools is included in the price of classes and camps.

Fashion Studies students are taught and mentored by industry professionals, and the Fashion Studies program is an accelerated fashion program for teens and adults with a curriculum that changes each semester. Open Sew Time allows participants to book studio space to work on solo projects using the studio’s sewing machines, tools, and cutting tables, and PDF pattern files can be brought in on a thumb drive for printing with a 24-hour turnaround. The Sewing Room states that it brings together sewing, fashion, and sustainability to spark creativity, build community, and celebrate the joy of making through expert instruction and hands-on learning.
