About

PhaseFit Youth Performance offers youth performance athletic preparation for children through group fitness classes and personal training. Sessions use full-body workouts that include strength training, mobility-focused sessions, energy systems development, kettlebell training, functional training, cardio, mobility, and functional movements. Classes and training sessions use equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, sandbags, rowers, ski ergs, and assault bikes.

• Schedule: Group fitness classes are offered in the morning Monday to Sunday between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, with at least 6 classes per week, and personal training sessions are scheduled flexibly with a minimum of 3 training sessions per week.
• Price: Group class instructors are paid $30–$44 per class, and personal training compensation starts at 50% of the client’s personal training package cost, with the opportunity to increase to 65% with prior certification and experience.

PhaseFit Youth Performance is part of a program that uses Total Body Performance Energy Systems Development and kettlebells, along with unconventional training tools such as sandbags and variable resistance devices, and follows a hybrid of Eastern European training methods and Western physical conditioning techniques. The leadership team includes Sara Montoya (World Champion Kettlebell Sport Athlete, Adventure Race Competitor, Certified Personal Trainer and Group Performance Coach), Gina Woodward (Professional Soccer Athlete, Youth Athletics Performance Coach, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with Distinction, CAL Bears with Honors in Sociology and Pre-Medicine), and Jen Cord (Master of Sport and multiple-time world record holder in kettlebell lifting, Certified Girevoy Sport Coach, Mountain Biker Racer, Business Manager). Staff credentials across the program include certifications such as ACE or NASM fitness instructor certifications, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D), EXOS-certified Athletic Performance Specialist, and Certified Girevoy Sport Coach, and instructors and trainers are required to have prior hours of group class or personal training instruction, especially in strength and conditioning, functional training, or youth sports. The program’s mission states that it supports people of all ages and levels in an intense and inclusive environment and is founded on a belief that movement combined with fun is a foundation for overall health and happiness.
