About

Aqua Duks Swim School offers private swim lessons, parent-taught swim lessons, adaptive swim lessons, teen and adult swim lessons, and a Swim Team Prep program. Lessons include options for 1:1 instruction, semi-private parent-taught sessions with parents in the water, and adaptive lessons for students with special needs. Teen and adult swimmers can enroll in private lessons, and swimmers ages 5 and up can join Swim Team Prep sessions.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Private Swim Lessons, Parent-Taught Swim Lessons, and Adaptive Swim Lessons are 20 minutes each; Teen & Adult Swim Lessons and Swim Team Prep are 40 minutes each, with Swim Team Prep offered in 8–10 week sessions

Aqua Duks Swim School has been helping swimmers build confidence, safety, and a lifelong love for the water since 1983. Its mission statement is: “Teaching confidence, safety, and a love for the water — One swimmer at a time.” Instructors are trained in CPR and First Aid, hold nationally recognized swim instruction certifications, and complete extensive in-water training. The program offers year-round instruction in warm 92 degree indoor pools designed specifically for learning, with all lessons held at the Aqua Duks indoor facility and no at-home or travel lessons. The facility is dedicated solely to swim instruction, does not host parties or recreational swim events, and does not offer free swim or open swim times, and its pools are monitored 24/7 with automated filtration and disinfection systems.

Families receive progress updates, monthly evaluations, and ongoing communication. Registration and scheduling are available through the Aqua Duks app. Swimmers are asked to wear a swimsuit and bring a towel; swimmers under age 4 must wear a Happy Nappy DUO, which is available for purchase onsite. Goggles can be used, but swimmers are also taught to swim without them, and earplugs are only needed if recommended by a physician. Families across Southern California come to Aqua Duks, there is an option to donate to HopeFloats, and the program provides water safety tips, special offers, and community updates via email 1–2 times per month. If a family is not satisfied, Aqua Duks Swim School states that it will make it right.
