YMCA Summer Camps include camp sites that range from day camps to overnight adventures. The program includes Youth & Government, where teens debate policies, draft bills, and collaborate with peers from across the state. YMCA Summer Camps are part of broader YMCA programs in which 23K+ youth participate in sports and other programs and 2K+ California YMCA youth learn about citizenship and diplomacy.

The YMCA mission for these programs is shaped by access to food, safe spaces, learning, and human connection, which are described as social determinants of health at the core of the mission at the Center for Community Well-Being. As part of the wider YMCA community work, 3.9M+ pounds of food have been distributed to families in need, 9K+ children and adults have been taught swim safety lessons, and 50K+ members have been engaged in work focused on building a safer, healthier Los Angeles. The YMCA reports providing $3M+ in financial assistance to make YMCA centers accessible and states that it meets people where they are with food, support, and services.
