About
Seahawk Sports Camps offers an All-Sports camp that introduces kids to a variety of sports, along with specific camps in baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. The program also includes Nike Basketball Camps at Cabrillo College, featuring The Complete Skills Camp and The Shooting Camp, which focus on different aspects of basketball skills and techniques.
• Ages: 6–15 years old
• Schedule: All-Sports camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm; Nike Basketball Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am–2pm in 5-day sessions.
• Price: $429 (all fees included)
Cabrillo College Athletics offers Seahawk Sports Camps using state-of-the art facilities, a coastal summer climate, and plenty of refreshment stations. The camps are led by collegiate coaches who prepare their players to compete in a top-ranked conference, and campers are coached and mentored by current Cabrillo College student-athletes. These student-athletes come from all over the country, serve as camp counselors, and bring different energy and perspectives to teaching their sports. The program includes specific Santa Cruz County youth sports camps for both boys and girls in baseball, basketball, football, and soccer, including a Nike Basketball Camp at Cabrillo College with Head Coach James Page and staff.
The Complete Skills Camp is described as helping players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills, and enhance their skill set at the post, wing, or guard position. The Shooting Camp emphasizes technique, footwork, shooting drills, shooting off the dribble, shooting off the pass, shooting games, free throw shooting, and post/perimeter shooting. Basketball camps hosted by Cabrillo Women’s Basketball are open to youth of all genders who want to start playing basketball but may not know where to begin. Camps separate participants into groups so campers are with peers of similar age and skill level, run fun, developmental drills (stations) followed by games and scrimmages, and assign each team in the women’s basketball-hosted camp a coach to help them follow the rules, maintain good sportsmanship, and ensure they are all having fun.
The Complete Skills Camps 2026 run in 5-day sessions, with Session 1 scheduled for June 15–19, Session 2 for July 6–10, and Session 3 for July 27–31. The Shooting Camps 2026 also run in 5-day sessions, with Session 1 scheduled for June 29–July 3, Session 2 for July 20–24, and Session 3 for August 3–7. The stated mission of Seahawk Sports Camps is “We empower local youth.” The coaches and student-athletes of Cabrillo College Athletics offer these sports camps for kids from local coastal communities, and Cabrillo College athletes serve as camp counselors as a way of giving back to the youth of the community. The leadership team includes Mark Ramsey (Athletic Director), James Page (Men’s Basketball), Gladys Mondragon (Women’s Soccer), Steven Warren (Football), Scott Masik (Baseball), Paolo Carbone (Men’s Head Soccer Coach, Kinesiology Instructor), Derek Cahill (Assistant Football Coach), and Delaney McCann (Head Coach Women’s Basketball).
