Central Coast Zoo Education Programs and Camps offers Zoo Summer Camp and Spring Camps where children explore habitats, discover wildlife, connect with friends, and learn about wildlife conservation and how to be an ally for wildlife. Spring Camps are led by zoo educators.

About the provider

The zoo was established in 1955 and celebrated its 70th anniversary and rebranding as the Central Coast Zoo in June 2025. Its mission statement is: Engage our Central Coast community and visitors by inspiring them to join us in taking action to conserve nature and preserve species. The zoo has been accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums since 1991 and was accredited for five years as of March 31, 2025, with accreditation through 2030. Volunteers help in the day-to-day care of animals and the Central Coast Zoo Foundation is a nonprofit volunteer support group dedicated to fundraising, running the zoo’s membership program, and supporting ongoing needs.

Pre-registration is required for summer camps. Group rates are available for general zoo admission for groups of 15 or more with prior booking.
