Playtime Discoveries

Playtime Discoveries offers structured activity and play, hands-on learning, and a mixture of structure and free play. The program includes personalized academic support, one on one tutoring services with an emphasis on reading development, and free play. Children can also take part in weekly, themed camps that include challenges and projects.

• Schedule: Weekly, themed camps from Monday to Thursday

Playtime Discoveries offers engaging child and parent services, including a Mommy and Me parent participation class for young children aged 18 months–3 years old with a mother, father, or grandparent. The Mommy and Me participation group can provide long term friendships between families and create new friendships for kids outside of their home. The Pre-K Parent Participation Program focuses on hands-on learning and a mixture of structure and free play, with a parent present once per week to help a child navigate the idea of being without a parent at school. The Support/Tutoring Program places children with others in their same age and developmental group, with options for one on one tutoring services that emphasize reading development. Weekly, themed summer camps from Monday to Thursday include challenges, projects, and free play.

At Playtime Discoveries, the stated mission is to create a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity and a love for learning, with a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to explore and grow through hands-on experiences. The program is led by Director Emily Cooper and serves the community of the Central Coast.
