Bakersfield Racquet Club Junior Tennis Camps & Programs offers tennis and pickleball for juniors, along with swim time, gym and fitness access, and organized summer and holiday camps. The programs include daily drills, beginner clinics, competitive match play, junior tennis development, Kids’ Day, tournaments, and family-friendly social events such as Christmas Camp and New Year Camp.

Bakersfield Racquet Club is a private, member-owned club that was built on Pine Street in 1948 and is the 5th oldest tennis club west of the Rocky Mountains. It has ten lighted tennis courts, four dedicated pickleball courts, two swimming pools, a newly renovated members-only gym, two multipurpose event rooms, an on-site restaurant serving lunch on weekdays, an outdoor patio, and a clubhouse with a pro shop, racket stringing, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The club provides first-class facilities for all levels of competition, a highly qualified staff, and an array of enthusiastic teaching professionals. Its mission states a commitment to health, active living, and building a strong community for members, their families, and guests. Bakersfield Racquet Club has been part of the local tennis community since it was given club status by USTA while located at Jastro Park from 1930 to 1948, and 2023 marked its 75th anniversary at the Pine Street location. The Bakersfield Tennis Open brings rising professional players from around the world to compete at the club for a week of tennis and community events, with free admission open to the public.
