The club provides a highly qualified staff and an array of enthusiastic teaching professionals. Club hours are Monday–Sunday from 8:30 AM–9:00 PM. The organization states that it is committed to health, active living, and building a strong community for its members and their families. It was built in 1948 and marked its 75th anniversary in 2023, and it is recognized as the 5th oldest tennis club west of the Rocky Mountains, with earlier club status from the USTA dating back to its time at Jastro Park from 1930 to 1948. The club hosts the Bakersfield Tennis Open and Women’s Tennis Open, which are ITF Tour stops that bring rising professional players from around the world for a week of tennis, community events, and matches with food and family-friendly fun onsite.
