Taere Tiai Polynesian Cultural Arts Center

Taere Tiai Polynesian Cultural Arts Center offers Polynesian dance, including ORI TAHITI fundamentals, as well as Wedding Dance instruction. The program uses Private, Group, and Party sessions and offers tailored programs for young kids, beginner dancers, competitive dancers, and those preparing a Wedding Dance. Polynesian dance at this center is described as an art of moving the body as an instrument of expression and communication, and as a fun way to stay active while increasing strength, stamina, and flexibility. By exploring Polynesian dance, students learn fundamentals of teamwork and focus, while building confidence and cultural awareness.

Taere Tiai Polynesian Cultural Arts Center has over 10 years of dancing fun. The center is an award-winning dance group. Its founding principle is that Mana (energy) within comes from what a person sees, hears, and feels, and it holds the belief that the raw form of dance development is infinitely enhanced by the organic sound of the wood and strings and by being grounded to the floor. The mission of the center is to work towards inspiring and encouraging cultural awareness in the community’s youth in a fun and creative way.
