Ahn Martial Arts CA offers training in traditional Taekwondo, Hapkido, Self Defense, Philippine martial arts, weapons training, and Tai Chi. The program is described as a multifaceted martial arts institution and academy and as a premier destination for multifaceted martial arts excellence. Its traditional Taekwondo program is crafted for individuals aged 3 and above and guides students from white to black belt, and its Self Defense program is designed to cater to individuals aged 4 and above. The program includes the UTA Classic Weapons Program, which was developed to re-affirm the place of traditional Korean weapons within Korean martial arts, and it emphasizes movements that are simplified and slowed down to focus on safety and prevent risk of injury. The program caters to all skill levels, from newcomers to advanced, and states a mission to empower every student with elite self-defense skills while nurturing core values such as respect, honor, integrity, self-esteem, and self-discipline.

Grandmaster August K. O'neal is President of the Ahn Martial Arts Association CA, and the Ahn Martial Arts Association is led by Grandmaster O'neal. Grandmaster O'neal has a martial arts career spanning over five decades, has over 53 years of martial arts experience, and has been teaching Taekwondo and personal Self Defense for 46 years. He received the prestigious 9th Dan from Grandmaster Kyongwon Ahn in November 2020 and was elected into the United States Grandmaster Society in April 2011. Grandmaster Kyongwon Ahn immigrated to the United States in the summer of 1967, founded Ahn’s Taekwondo College in Cincinnati, Ohio after the University of Cincinnati program was established, with the first gup certificates awarded in September 1969, and founded the United Taekwondo Association Ahn (UTA) in 1971, which acts as the rank repository for Black Belts and color belts who have tested directly with Grandmaster Ahn or one of his affiliated schools.
Grandmaster Randolph Smith, Sr. began training in martial arts in 1958, holds the rank of 8th Dan in Taekwondo, and developed the UTA Weapons program, teaching weapons for over 30 years. Mr. Titus Taylor currently holds the rank of 5th Dan in Taekwondo, received his 1st Dan Black Belt in 1996, 2nd Dan in November 2000, 3rd Dan in April 2012, and 5th Dan from Grandmaster O'neal in 2023, and is retired from the Oakland Police Department with over 28 years of service. Mr. Taylor is P.O.S.T and STC certified as a Weaponless Defense Instructor, Crime Prevention Specialist, and C.P.T.E.D Practitioner, is a member of the National Crime Prevention Council, has taught Self Defense classes for the City of Oakland in association with the Department of Parks and Recreation, and has conducted self defense and personal safety trainings for organizations including Clorox Corp, Red Cross, Pepsico, Alameda County Adult Protective Service, UCR, University of California Office of the President, EBMUD, Mills College, Holy Names University, and presentations at the annual Progressive Baptist Church State Convention. Mr. Benjaminari A. Ampon started training at the age of 3 in 1996 with Grandmaster O'neal, received his first Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo in 2007, his second Dan in 2015, and is currently a 5th Dan Black Belt and in the Master Program. Mr. Lawrence Chang currently holds the rank of 3rd Dan in Taekwondo and received his 3rd Dan Black Belt from Grandmaster O'neal in 2022.
