Yama Kids Yoga offers classes, yoga birthday parties, camps, movie nights, special events, and Friday Preschool Yoga. The program takes place at a studio dedicated solely to teaching yoga to children.

Yama Kids Yoga’s mission is: “Working with a child’s natural rhythm and energy, we introduce kids to the three principles of yoga - movement, breathing and meditation.” The studio highlights movement, meditation, kindness, and fun, and also offers summer camp dates, yoga birthday parties, movie nights, special events, and Friday Preschool Yoga.
Beth Houghton founded Bendy Berry Yoga in 2009 and later founded the Yama Kids Yoga studio. After a decade of teaching in Bay Area schools, and with the encouragement of her business partner, Beth decided to start the East Bay’s first yoga studio dedicated solely to teaching yoga to children. Beth was certified to teach children’s yoga by Karma Kids Yoga, based in New York City, in 2009. She received her certification to teach adult yoga in 2011 by completing 200 hours of training through Yoga Alliance and Flying Yoga Shala under Laura Camp.
