After camp childcare for summer elementary programs is available from 4–5:30pm Monday through Thursday for an additional fee. All sessions of Summer Theatre Camp: Play Creation for grades 1–5 are identical, and multiple sessions are offered. For each camp’s final performance or sharing, friends, families, and community members are invited; performances are typically around 7pm, last one hour, and conclude with a small celebration in the lobby, and RSVP is not necessary. Attendance is described as crucial during the final days of camp as students work on final performances.

Masks are encouraged but optional for all students. Information about camp expectations, safety details, and more is emailed to families one week before the program begins. If a camp is sold out, families can sign up for a waitlist or contact the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre via email. There is an Early Bird Discount on all summer camps through January 26, 2026, which appears automatically on each camp registration page. Current Berkeley Rep season subscribers receive 10% off all programs, and Blue Star families receive 15% off programs; discounts cannot be combined or applied retroactively. Payment plans are available, and a limited number of partial financial aid scholarships for youth and teen camps are considered in the order received, with applications submitted by March 9 receiving priority consideration; a financial aid application does not guarantee class admission, and separate registration is required if a scholarship is approved.

With parental consent, students in grades 9–12 may buy lunch nearby in downtown Berkeley but must sign out and bring food back to campus, while all other students must bring lunch and remain on campus during lunchtime.
