Habitot STEM Programs include hands-on exhibits, art and maker programs, STEM activities, and STEM explorations. Children take part in art activities, sensory play, dramatic play, and exploring nature. The program also includes cultural programs, a Faith Ringgold-inspired story quilt activity, and activities focused on recycle, reduce, and reuse.

Habitot STEM Programs are part of Habitot, which is a hands-on discovery museum designed for the youngest children, 0–5 years old. Habitot was founded as a nonprofit organization by parents, teachers, and educators in 1992 and opened its first facility in downtown Berkeley in 1998. Habitot has an educational mission to help parents and caregivers raise curious, creative, and confident children. Habitot is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. The organization offers creatively designed, theme-based exhibits such as a small-scale grocery store, a space station and mission control, and an animal hospital, along with hands-on arts and maker activities. Habitot also offers Mobile Museum pop-up events, Habitot-at-Home activities, BoxiTot Play & Learning Kits, and MakerMobile Afterschool & School Programs. Habitot aims to welcome a broad audience through low cost admissions and dedicated programs welcoming children with disabilities, unhoused families, foster, adoptive and kinship care families, formerly incarcerated parents, and many others. The leadership team includes Gina as Executive Director & New Place to Grow and Nora in Social Media. One testimonial shared by Habitot states, “The traditional support system for parents has all but disappeared, and with it the myth of instinctive parenting.
