Hanwen School Mandarin Chinese Language Programs offers a Mandarin Chinese language after-school program, weekend enrichment, and summer camps. Children take part in language classes, cultural enrichment activities, games and activities, arts and crafts, yoga, and kung fu. The program also includes Mandarin immersion SCIENCE EXPLORATION on topics in natural and physical sciences, and may offer onsite piano and violin music lessons when available.

Hanwen School was founded in January 2016. The programs include Summer Camps in Chinese, a Heritage Chinese Track for grades K–5, and a Chinese as Second Language (CSL) option for grades K–5 that depends on cohort availability. The program serves the local East Bay community through after-school language programs, weekend enrichment, and summer camps. Its mission is to provide Mandarin Chinese activities where children can learn Chinese through language classes and cultural enrichment activities, and to provide the local community with ways to broaden their understanding of Chinese language and culture. Hanwen School states a nondiscriminatory policy, admitting students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities in its programs, and not discriminating on these bases in its educational or admissions policies or other programs.
