Camp Loma Mar

Camp Loma Mar offers overnight summer camp experiences that include activities such as archery, arts and crafts, a zip line, and songs around the campfire. Campers spend time exploring the surrounding redwoods as part of day-to-day life at Loma Mar, which also includes activities, meals, and use of camp facilities.

For more than a hundred years, generations of campers have come to Camp Loma Mar, which is described as the East Bay’s oldest overnight camp. The camp highlights four core values—caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility—as central to its mission. The program states that it is a place where kids grow in confidence, build friendships, and experience the joy of belonging, and that it offers a supportive environment where every child can explore the outdoors, discover new skills, and create lasting memories. Camp Loma Mar notes that it has friendly, professional, and caring staff.

The broader organization reports serving over 68,000 people across Alameda, Contra Costa, and Yolo counties and describes a vision in which every child has access and opportunities to learn, teens can reach their full potential, and communities are supported, strong, and healthy.
