Front Row Center

Front Row Center offers a Teen Technical Theatre Workshop where participants work in areas such as sound design, lighting, costume crew, set design and fabrication, and props creation and management. Teen Technical Theatre Workshop students serve as the official crew for The SpongeBob Musical, which features an all-teen cast and runs approximately two hours, including a 15-minute intermission. The program operates Monday through Friday from 4–8pm over the course of one month, from Tuesday, July 7 through Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Front Row Center is a nonprofit youth theatre organization. Its mission is to provide equitable and accessible youth theatrical opportunities through educational programming, theatrical productions, and workshops, with tuition fees that are described as accessible. The organization states that it strives to make theatre arts experiences attainable to young performers regardless of socio-economic, cultural, ethnic background, skill level, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation, and to cultivate a lifelong admiration and passion for the performing arts. Front Row Center also states that it is committed to bringing high-quality youth theatre productions to the San Diego region and to supplementing regional educational resources and school curriculums. As part of its community involvement, Front Row Center recognizes that the venues it rents occupy land historically belonging to the Ipai-Tipai, also known as the Kumeyaay Nation, within the present-day San Diego region.
