Selah Groove is a faith-based, family run Dance & Art Academy that offers dance, music, art, cooking, camps, parties, and special events. Children and adults can take classes in dance styles such as ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, pom/cheer dance, modern/contemporary, tumbling, salsa, and ballroom, along with quince and Sweet 16 classes. The program also offers music lessons in piano, flute, violin, guitar, and ukulele, as well as art classes, cooking classes, and themed activities like Lego, Nerf, Princess Tea, Disco Dance/Game Challenge, Spa Day, Super Hero, and STEAM projects that include drawing, pastels, and various painting and craft projects.

• Schedule: Kids Night is offered on the 4th Saturday of the month from 4–8 pm
• Price: New Student Registration: $37. Family Registration: $30. Birthday Party packages: $250 or $340 for craft or spa party, with a $100 deposit. Kids Night: $35 for 4 hours, siblings $8 and $7; 3-hour option $30, siblings $8 and $7. Hour classes: $65 for 4 classes or $125 for 8 classes. Hour and a half classes: $75. 40–45 minute classes: $56 for 4 classes or $107 for 8 classes. 30-minute classes: 4 classes for $40. Private lessons: $130 for 4 classes at 30 minutes each. Class prices are with auto withdrawal; without auto withdrawal there is a $5 increase. Active Duty Military receive a 10% discount. Military or sibling discounts are given for all classes. Discounts are available for 2 classes a week; with 3 classes a week the 3rd class is 50% off; with 4 classes a week the 4th class is free.
Selah Groove offers Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall Break Kids Camps, Kids Night events that include arts, crafts, games, tumbling, dancing, dinner or lunch, snacks, and a drink, and birthday party packages that include decorations, set up, clean up, face painting, games, service to serve guests, and 3 hours of activities. The academy states that it is always welcoming new students and that it has classes for all ages, from babies to adults. The mission of Selah Groove is to provide quality classes above and beyond the expectations of clients, to give individual attention and teaching techniques based on each student’s learning style and ability, to encourage, support, and uplift students to strive in their God-given talent, and to bless the community through the gift of creative arts.
Students at Selah Groove have 4–8 performances a year throughout the community at various churches, street fairs, and events, including past performances at Concordia Eastlake Church, a chili cook off in Bonita, Knott’s Berry Farm, the San Diego Fair, Bonita Library events, Bonita Valley Baptist Church, the Lemon Festival, Fallback in Downtown San Diego, Bonita Fest, and the Bonita 7th Day Adventist Angel Tree event. The program is a vendor for charter schools including PCA, EXCEL, SoCAL, PACIFIC, SPRINGS, HARBOR SPRINGS, RIVER SPRINGS, JULIAN, and TLC. Service projects that students and families have been involved in include Bags of Blessings made and given to Colina De Luz Orphanage, Polinsky Center, pre-teen camp, and Operation Christmas Child.
Every 6 months, students receive an evaluation on their progress, and two times a year they may move up to the next level or receive certificates. Annual honors include awards such as dancer of the year, most improved, and rising gem, which come with a t-shirt, trophy, certificate, and special goody bag. Selah Groove also uses a Selah dollars reward system with a Kings Store where students can purchase gifts 4–5 times a year.
