LA Kings Ice at Pickwick Gardens Youth Hockey Programs include a Youth In-House Hockey Recreation League, hockey group classes, Lil Kings, skills clinics, and the California Golden Bears youth hockey association. The programs also offer multiple pick-up sessions and an adult in-house league on NHL ice.

• Schedule: Youth In-House Hockey Recreation League meets on Saturdays from 10:00–11:00 AM.
The Hockey Department’s stated philosophy is to promote the game for players of all ages and skill levels in a safe and organized environment, offering ice hockey leagues from novice to professional levels while fostering camaraderie, friendship, and physical fitness in a fun, enjoyable, and exciting atmosphere. The Hockey Director is Sean Allison, and the Facility Manager is Ben Blandford. Pickwick Ice first opened its doors in 1961 and was renamed LA Kings Ice at Pickwick Gardens on January 1, 2019. The California Golden Bears youth hockey club, first chartered by the State in 1964, is one of the oldest youth hockey clubs in Southern California and is a nonprofit organization that has been described as family-oriented, promoting sportsmanship and good citizenship in the community. The Bears organization is a member of USA Hockey, SCAHA, and CAHA. Players from Youth In-House Hockey at LA Kings Ice at Pickwick Gardens played on NHL ice during the second intermission of the Kings vs. Red Wings game on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Skaters of all ages and ability levels participate in group classes, Lil Kings, skills clinics, a youth hockey association, pick-up sessions, and an adult in-house league, and participants can sign up for programs and sessions using a DaySmart Recreation member account.
