Media City Dance offers classical ballet technique, Classical Russian Ballet, children's level ballet, Pre Ballet, Ballet Level 1, Ballet Level 2, Ballet Level 3/4, Pointe, Jazz/Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Stretch, professional ballet classes, adult ballet, and a special needs dance and movement class. The program includes beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes, as well as a separate dance program developed specifically for children starting from age 3 up, and also caters to those who just love to dance but want training whether they start from age 3 or 93.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Slower adult ballet classes are offered on weekdays and Saturdays in the late morning and evening, hip hop classes are offered for kids on Monday late afternoons and for intermediate/advanced teens on Friday evenings, and a special needs dance and movement class is offered on Thursday afternoons.
Media City Dance centers on teaching the tradition of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, with a primary focus on training in classical ballet technique as a foundation for other dance forms. The curriculum has been enhanced over the years by an internationally renowned faculty from all over the world, and the school reports over 100 years of experience in Russian Classical Ballet spanning three generations. Many students have gone on to programs at The Kirov Conservatory, American Ballet Theater, and Broadway. Media City Dance is celebrating 20 years of serving the Burbank community, and dancers from Media City Dance and Pacific Ballet Theatre are featured in a video for VisitBurbank.com.
