Media City Dance offers classical ballet technique, classical Russian ballet, children’s level ballet, pre ballet, professional ballet classes, adult ballet, hip hop, jazz/contemporary, pointe, stretch, and a special needs dance and movement class. The program includes a separate dance program developed specifically for children starting from age 3 up and also serves pre-professionals, professionals, and adults 50+. Uniforms for classes are sold only at Media City Dance.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options on weekdays and weekends, including kids hip hop on Mondays 5:30–6:30pm, a special needs dance and movement class on Thursdays 4:30–5:30pm, intermediate/advanced teen hip hop on Fridays 6:45–7:45pm, multiple slower adult ballet options Monday–Saturday, and a special “The Ceremonial Stretch” Series 1 on Sunday March 29 from 2–4pm
Media City Dance has a primary focus on training in classical ballet technique as a foundation for other dance forms and encourages students of all ages and levels to experience dance while developing their emotional and physical centers. The program includes a special needs dance and movement class that uses personalized instruction, accessible spaces, and modified techniques, with a focus on abilities and what students can do, and on building confidence, coordination, balance, social skills, self-expression, confidence, and physical well-being in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Media City Dance serves pre-professionals, professionals, and adults 50+, and many students have gone on to programs at The Kirov Conservatory, American Ballet Theater, Broadway, and more.
Media City Dance is celebrating 20 years of serving the Burbank community and is described as the “Best Hidden Secret in Burbank.” The studio is led by Studio Director Natasha Middleton, with support from Adriano S Facchetti, a supporter of the arts and respected Burbank business owner. The staff brings over 100 years of experience in Russian Classical Ballet spanning three generations, with a curriculum enhanced by an internationally renowned faculty from around the world, each with extensive experience. The mission of Media City Dance is to inspire through a timeless legacy of preeminence and a tradition of classical ballet combined with artistic innovation, and to connect with the community and audience through inclusiveness and excellence of performance.
