Garry Marshall Theatre Education Programs are part of a nonprofit arts organization that works to enrich the greater Los Angeles community by providing live arts experiences, cultivating artists, and educating the next generation in the power of live storytelling. The live theatre space was originally known as the Falcon Theatre, with groundbreaking in 1995 and construction completed in 1997. After 20 years of funding by Garry Marshall, the nonprofit Garry Marshall Theatre is now sustained through donor support. The organization is described as a critically acclaimed and award-winning venue and is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. Garry Marshall believed that live, shared storytelling was one of the greatest human experiences, and the theatre was built with that belief in mind. Leadership for the organization includes Producing Artistic Director Joseph Leo Bwarie, Director of Production & Technical Operations Vince Davey, General Manager Giselle N. Vega, and Education Program Manager Jessica Champagne Hansen. Additional staff include Scott Kay (Chief Financial Officer), Heather Hall (Business Affairs), JM Montecalvo (Lighting Director), Robert Arturo Ramirez (Sound Director), Tiffany Daniels (Social Media Coordinator), Matt J. Bond (Web Administrator / Digital Support), Amelia Bluman (Education Assistant), Gama Franco (Audio Engineer), Vidur Katyal (Technical Staff), Colin Hatton (Venue / Tech Support), Beka Bond (Production Assistant), Maxwell Benton Cook (Production Assistant), Chloe Crouch (Production Assistant), Ezra Crouch (Production Assistant), Grace James (Production Assistant), Jocelyn Munoz (Production Assistant), Ellington Ratliff (Production Assistant), and Fatima Reyes (Education Production Assistant). The Board of Directors includes Barbara Marshall (Chair), Kathleen Marshall (President), Daniel Posener (Treasurer), Kelly Gerner (Secretary), Joan Boyett, Cathy King, Phill Lewis, Dyanne Chae, Kimberly Williams, and Chris Barkidjija.
