About

Garry Marshall Theatre Education Programs take place within the Garry Marshall Theatre, a live theatre space built in 1997 and known as a critically acclaimed and award-winning venue. The programs operate in a nonprofit arts organization that focuses on live storytelling and education for the next generation. The space was built with an affinity for community and a summer camp-like spirit, and is part of Garry Marshall’s legacy as a nonprofit venue that is sustainable through donor support.

Garry Marshall Theatre Education Programs are part of Garry Marshall Theatre, a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization that works to enrich the greater Los Angeles community by providing live arts experiences, cultivating artists, and educating the next generation in the power of live storytelling. The nonprofit is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. Live, shared storytelling at this theatre is described by the organization as one of the greatest human experiences, and the nonprofit space continues after 20 years of Garry Marshall funding the original Falcon Theatre, with ongoing sustainability through donor support.

The education programs are managed within a larger leadership and production team at Garry Marshall Theatre. The leadership team includes Joseph Leo Bwarie as Producing Artistic Director, Vince Davey as Director of Production & Technical Operations, Giselle N. Vega as General Manager, Jessica Champagne Hansen as Education Program Manager, and Scott Kay as Chief Financial Officer. Additional staff include Heather Hall in Business Affairs, JM Montecalvo as Lighting Director, Robert Arturo Ramirez as Sound Director, Tiffany Daniels as Social Media Coordinator, Matt J. Bond as Web Administrator / Digital Support, Amelia Bluman as Education Assistant, Gama Franco as Audio Engineer, Vidur Katyal as Technical Staff, and multiple Production Assistants: Maxwell Benton Cook, Chloe Crouch, Ezra Crouch, Grace James, Jocelyn Munoz, Ellington Ratliff, and Fatima Reyes as Education Production Assistant. The Board of Directors is chaired by Barbara Marshall, with Kathleen Marshall as President, Daniel Posener as Treasurer, Kelly Gerner as Secretary, and members Joan Boyett, Cathy King, Phill Lewis, Dyanne Chae, and Kimberly Williams.
