About
Traditional Equitation School (TES) offers horse camp, daily horseback riding, horseback riding lessons, and educational activities. The program also includes crafts, schooling shows, birthday parties, Girl Scout and Boy Scout badge programs, therapeutic horseback riding via Star Horses, IEA riding team competitions, and horse care services for privately owned horses. TES offers lessons for first-time through advanced riders and runs horse camp year round during Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and on school holidays.

• Schedule: Lesson options Tuesday to Friday from morning to evening, and on weekends during the day
Established in 1981, TES is the oldest and largest continually operating horseback riding school in Los Angeles, and thousands of students have had their first horseback ride on TES school horses. TES is the Official Riding School of the Los Angeles Equestrian Center and has Los Angeles' only IEA Dressage Team, as well as a winning IEA riding team. The IEA team allows students in 4th to 12th grade to compete without owning a horse by drawing horses' names out of a hat. TES is an approved charter school vendor with several charter schools and provides services for privately owned horses. TES gives back as a major donor to Star Horses, which offers therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults. Participants must sign and agree to the Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement before riding in the facility. One parent shared, “Excellent professional school!
