Kids Art Classes & Camps

Kids Art Classes & Camps includes activities such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, beading, mixed media, mural painting, fairytale story art, and fiber arts. Participants work on projects like tree faces using air dry clay, mandala rock painting, creative writing, studio visits with artists, original narrative zines, mix & match creatures, sculpture animal figures, watercolor and watercolor basics, woodland creatures, clay totem poles, collaborative painting, stocking sculptures, tile glazing, photography and surrealist collage, and paper or articulating puppet creations. Art camps keep kids actively engaged working with a variety of instructors, mediums, and techniques, and projects are modified for skill level if necessary, with some projects marked for specific age groups or full days only.

• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Summer Art Camp 2026 runs in weekly sessions from June 15 to July 24, with half days (AM) 9:30 am–12:30 pm and full days 9:30 am–4:00 pm
• Price: $299 per week for half days (AM) and $399 per week for full days, with discounted rates for booking multiple weeks

Classes are led by professional studio artists. Studio Channel Islands has become a premier arts organization over the first twenty-five years and is dedicated to bringing together artists and community for artistic encounters that enrich, educate, and entertain. Studio Channel Islands encourages people to be part of a county-wide effort to support creative professionals and their families and works directly with artists in the community to support and expand cultural enrichment programs. Families can join as Family Members to receive exclusive discounts on bookings throughout the year, and Family Members can use personal codes to apply member discounts on Summer Art Camp, with scholarship information available. Open Studios take place on the first Saturday of the month from 11 a.m.–4 p.m., and the schedule and instructors are subject to change.
