California Fencing Academy

California Fencing Academy offers fencing and archery, including beginning archery, beginning classes, and beginning camps. The program includes a recreational program, a developmental program, and national, elite, international, and NCAA programs. Summer camps are also available.

California Fencing Academy has been “forging champions inside & out since 1986.” The owner, director, and head coach is Ania Tibbetts. The women’s youth 12 foil national champion in 2013 was from California Fencing Academy. The program has offered a promotion on Groupon for free trial lessons, has given a full refund for unused archery classes, and has provided a refund when a student was sick for most of summer camp. One parent described the facilities as great and conveniently located. Multiple parents describe experiences with fencing and archery classes, summer camps, recreational and national-level training, and note that the program focuses on teaching respect and control in fencing and maintains a high general level of competitive students over many years.
