Campbell Parents’ Participation Preschool offers free creative play, open-ended and planned activities, and a play-based preschool model where children, parents, and teachers work together. Children take part in music, cooking, science, and age-appropriate, well-supervised learning experiences within a social group of peers. With a 60-year history, Campbell Parents’ Participation Preschool operates as a nonprofit, community-led, parent participation (co-op) preschool with a curriculum that focuses heavily on social-emotional development and a developmental Theory of Early Childhood Education-based philosophy. The program includes a unique parent education component with expert speakers who are child development specialists, active observation of children in a social environment, and collaborative discussion among parents, including the option to join the Parent Board.
