About
CCDA Dance Camps offers week-long intensives that include tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, hip hop, and strength and conditioning. Campers take part in themed classes such as Tapestries of Rhythm (Tap), Bewitching Bodylines (Jazz), Ethereal Enchantments (Lyrical), Shadowy Sensations (Contemporary), Acrobatic Arcana (Acro), and Hip Hop Hexes (Hip Hop). Wicked Camp features choreography inspired by the musical “Wicked” and explores movement qualities connected to the characters Elphaba and Glinda.
• Ages: 6–15 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camps, Monday–Friday, 9am–2pm
• Price: $400 per camp session
Each camp runs as a week-long intensive from 9 AM to 2 PM each day, Monday through Friday. Mini Dance Camp is for ages 6–11 at beginner to intermediate levels, and Dance Camp is for ages 10–15 at intermediate to advanced levels. CCDA’s experienced instructors lead progressions, drills, and choreography that focus on refining technique, building strength, stamina, and flexibility through dance-specific conditioning exercises, and emphasizing quick pickup of choreography, musicality within a narrative, and character expression through movement. CCDA has competition teams for all ages and states that it is a big advocate of building a family environment for all dancers. The program’s mission statement is “We are dancers first.”
