Instructor and owner Ms. Melinda is not a franchise company and has many years of professional experience teaching children’s gymnastics, cheerleading, rhythmic gymnastics, dance, and yoga in the Bay Area. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Dance, is a certified gymnastics instructor, and is a member of USA Gymnastics. She has attended national and regional gymnastics conferences, including the 2012 and 2016 Olympic trials, has professional ballet company experience in Idaho and Washington State, has training in professional cheerleading, and has earned college cheerleading awards. She has also studied and practiced ashtanga and hatha yoga and the Yoga Bears program for children. According to the program’s mission statement, GymKids USA classes are noncompetitive, recreational classes in gymnastics, cheerleading, and yoga, taught in a fun and nurturing environment, and are designed to help children develop their strength, enhance coordination, and build confidence.

All cheerleading students at Campbell Community Center perform on stage every spring at The Heritage Theater for an end-of-the-year recital.
