Sutton Swim School offers swim lessons and adult swimming classes in a non-competitive setting that focuses on technique and fun. Classes place emphasis on balance in the water, comfort in early levels, and attention to fundamentals and detailed technique.

Sutton Swim School states that it began over 26 years ago in the founders' back yard, and the current Campbell facility has been open since March 2016. The program describes its mission as providing instructional swim experiences through expert, compassionate instruction by patient, well-trained instructors, using positive reinforcement and detailed practice of techniques to build mental and physical fitness, and it states that every splash builds confidence and every stroke unlocks potential. The school states that it believes swimming is an essential life skill and emphasizes fundamentals, attention-to-detail, and a strong foundation.
All teachers at Sutton Swim School go through a rigorous training process, both in and out of the water, and Kevin serves as Deck Training Supervisor and is Gold Certified. The program describes its community involvement as beginning with a dream of offering engaging yet challenging swim lessons to help bring water safety awareness to the community. The facility includes a large viewing and observation deck, a kids’ wait area with seating, books, and a movie, changing rooms at the pool entrance, a temperature-controlled changing area, anti-slip flooring with slanted floors and covered drains in restrooms and shower areas, six infant changing tables and one infant changing seat per restroom, and accessible showers on the pool deck. The school highlights features such as a Neptune Benson Filter that can trap debris as small as 3 microns, a water turnover rate six times faster than the required rate, an automated chemical control system that feeds chlorine only as needed, a UV system that cleans and neutralizes the water to keep it free of E. coli and similar bacteria without additional harsh chemicals, a dehumidification system that eliminates fog and condensation on the pool deck, pool water heated via dehumidification cooling units instead of a natural gas heater, and pool water maintained at 91 degrees or higher since March 2016, and it includes a claim of having the cleanest water on the West Coast.
