The program is under the direct supervision of the Camp Capitola Assistant Coordinators and the Recreation Coordinator. The stated goal is to create a safe and enjoyable youth program experience for all. Campers must be potty trained and must turn 5 by September 1, 2026, to participate, and registration is online only, with no in-person or mail-in registration accepted at the recreation office. Transportation is available from Junior Guards to Camp Capitola and from Camp Capitola to Junior Guards with advance registration under the Junior Guards registration tab. The Capitola Public Safety & Community Service Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships for children who otherwise would not be able to afford the program.
