Dancenter Dance Classes

Dancenter Dance Classes offers a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Latin, and Belly Dance. Classes are held in a facility equipped with state-of-the-art sprung floors covered with Marley, providing an ideal environment for dance practice.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Founded in 1986 by Ruth Fisher, Dancenter is the oldest continuously owned dance studio in Santa Cruz County. The program's mission is "Dance is for everybody," and it actively participates in community events such as the Capitola Art and Wine Festival and National Dance Week. The staff consists of trained professionals, many with degrees in dance, theatre, and related subjects. Dancenter also offers unique opportunities like Choreography Night for teen dancers and a showcase at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.
