Capitola Beach Company Surf and Stand Up Paddle Boarding Lessons offers surf lessons, stand up paddle boarding lessons, paddle boarding tours, and surf and stand up paddle boarding rentals. The program also includes community events such as the Capitola Beach Cleanup, the Capitola Village Holiday Cookie Walk 2025, and the November 2025 Capitola Sip & Stroll.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Surf and stand up paddle boarding lessons are offered daily, year round, and are booked around low tides, wind, swell, and surf conditions, with tide times changing daily; stand up paddle boarding times are dependent on wind conditions.
Some instructors are lifetime Capitola Beach locals. Capitola Beach Company has been in operation from 2014–2025. The shop is described as a boutique surf shop filled with bikinis, boardshorts, flip flops, cozy lounge wear, local jewelry, and unique gifts for the entire family, and it carries surf lifestyle brands such as Billabong, Rip Curl, Roxy, Quicksilver, Free People, Aloha Bags, and Barefoot Dreams. The business upgrades its equipment yearly, and customers can paddle by sea otters and dolphins while enjoying views of the Monterey Bay. There is a beach cleanup every month in Capitola, including a Capitola Beach Cleanup on Saturday, June 6th at 9AM.
