5ive Tool Baseball Academy Camps

5ive Tool Baseball Academy Camps focuses on the “5undamental 5” baseball skills of hitting, throwing, fielding, base-running, and catching. Camp days include warm-up, stretching, speed and agility work, station work with 3–4 rotations, group activities such as situational defense and offense, team offense, team defense or scrimmages, as well as competitions, fun games, and base-running drills.

Example Carlsbad dates include a Winter 2-day camp on Monday, December 29–Tuesday, December 30, 2025, a Spring 5-day camp on Monday, April 6–Friday, April 10, 2026, and a Summer 5-day camp on Monday, July 27–Friday, July 31, 2026. The camp schedule includes specific times for check-in, welcome and rules, warm-up and speed work, station work blocks in the morning and afternoon, snack and lunch breaks, group activities, and separate check-out for half-day and full-day campers.

5ive Tool Baseball Academy states that its primary objective is to use the game of baseball to teach structure, discipline, and confidence among youth participants. The organization offers curriculum-based training programs that serve all skill levels and experience, with a coach-to-camper ratio of 1:10. Coaches and staff provide supervision from drop-off until pick-up and escort ball players to and from the restroom. Tuition is valid for one calendar year from the scheduled start date of camp in the event of weather postponements, with camp credit for days missed.

The leadership team includes a CEO and Founder who is a former professional player with the Mariners and Mets and a Cal State Fullerton President’s Scholar. Staff experience includes former professional players with the Padres, Braves, Indians, and a former pro coach with the Mariners, as well as high school and college playing and coaching backgrounds at Cal Berkeley, Colorado Mesa, San Diego City College, Southwestern College, Point Loma High School, Sage Creek High School, Rancho Buena Vista High School, and Classical Academy High School. Staff specializations include hitting, pitching, speed and agility, outfield, throwing, fielding, and catching, along with Little League All-Star coaching and bullpen catching for professional and college pitchers.

5ive Tool Baseball Academy trains, instructs, and educates players, parents, coaches, and administrators of primarily recreational baseball leagues and organizations and lists that it sponsors leagues. Campers receive an official 5ive Tool Baseball Academy performance shirt and hat on Day 1, with the camper’s name included on the back of the shirt when registration is completed at least two weeks before the start of the booked camp.

Campers are asked to wear their official 5ive Tool Baseball Academy jersey and hat daily, along with baseball pants (gray recommended) and a baseball belt. Required baseball equipment includes a glove, bat, and helmet, with limited loaner bats, helmets, and gloves available at camp. Families are instructed to clearly mark all equipment with the camper’s name or initials and to bring athletic sunglasses if needed, along with lunch or snacks, sunscreen, and a water bottle each day, since the program does not provide lunch or snacks and asks that campers bring plenty of water and food.
