The coach-to-camper ratio is 1:10, and 5ive Tool Baseball Academy coaches and staff provide supervision from drop-off until pick-up. Coaches eat with ball players during snacks and lunch and escort ball players to and from the restroom throughout the camp. The program’s primary objective is to use the game of baseball to teach structure, discipline, and confidence among youth participants. 5ive Tool Baseball Academy trains, instructs, and educates players, parents, coaches, and administrators of primarily recreational baseball leagues and organizations.

Campers receive an official 5ive Tool Baseball Academy performance shirt and hat on Day 1, with the camper’s name included on the back of the shirt when registration is completed at least two weeks before the start of camp. 5ive Tool Baseball Academy is a youth baseball training organization based in San Diego, California that focuses on the “5undamental 5” skill sets of baseball: hitting, throwing, fielding, base-running, and catching. In the event of rain or inclement weather, 5ive Tool Baseball Academy will post a field status update on the homepage of their website (www.5iveTool.com) and text updates via their business line (858-247-1811). If camp needs to be postponed due to weather, ball players receive a camp credit for the amount of days missed, valid for one calendar year from the scheduled start date of camp.

Campers are asked to wear their official 5ive Tool Baseball Academy jersey and hat daily, along with baseball pants (gray recommended) and a baseball belt. Recommended baseball equipment includes a glove, bat, and helmet, with limited loaner bats, helmets, and gloves available at camp, and athletic sunglasses if needed. Families are asked to clearly mark all equipment and gear with the camper’s name or initials and to send lunch, snacks, sunscreen, and a water bottle each day, as 5ive Tool Baseball Academy does not provide lunch or snacks.
