Channel Islands YMCA Summer Camps include activities such as art, STEM activities, sports and outdoor recreation, and field trips. Campers can take part in outdoor adventures like hikes, as well as athletics, swimming, wrestling, boxing, and handball. The program also offers Summer Sports Camps that cover the fundamentals of popular sports and YMCA Enrichment Camps that focus on specific areas of interest.

Y Summer Camps use weekly themes so that each week is a different experience. YMCA Enrichment Camps focus on building skills in particular interest areas, and Summer Sports Camps focus on the fundamentals of favorite sports. The program also offers a Counselor In Training (CIT) Program in which selected teens assist counselors with daily duties, complete service learning projects, help run camp events, receive volunteer hours, and attend required CIT training. Sleepaway Camp includes outdoor adventures and an overnight camp experience.
The Channel Islands YMCA is a charitable organization with programs based on Christian principles and serves people of all ages, races, religious beliefs, and economic status, with a focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The Channel Islands YMCA has been active since 1887, with early YMCA organizations formed in Santa Barbara and Ventura that year, and its first official Santa Barbara building constructed starting in 1910 and opened in 1912.
