Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is a private nonprofit founded in 1995 and serves over 1,600 youth at 11 sites in Butte and Glenn Counties. It is governed by a local volunteer board, employs over 100 youth development professionals, and benefits from the support of more than 500 community volunteers. The organization’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens.
The leadership team includes Chief Executive Officer Rashell Brobst and Chief Operations Officer Joe Hejl, along with directors and coordinators for case management, development, finance, mission support, human resources, special events, elementary programs, teen programs, and individual club sites. Human Resource Director Scott Dinits holds the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) credential. Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley has been audited and endorsed by the Grand Jury as a proven program, is a Platinum participant through GuideStar/Candid, is compliant with the Office of State Assembly, serves as a training site for Boys & Girls Clubs and other after school programs, and is identified as a model program for youth development best practices.
